Windows XP Tip: Speed Up Start Menu Items

Trick is to remove resource hungry and quite dispensable shadows from menu items. Right click the Desktop In the Desktop Properties dialog box, select the Appearance tab. Click Effects button In the Effects dialog box, uncheck Show shadows under menus option Click Ok Click Apply and Ok Just follow the steps above (or watch the video) and you will see XP start up menu load it self quicker
