Secret Nokia Phone Trick: Full formatting of your phone

How many times you fed with with slow performance of your nokia phones, just becuase of so many apps you have installed and uninstalled (footprint left) or many other reasons. A good way to overcome this problem is to format your phone completly and bring it back factory conditions. Here is how you can do that in following steps:

Note: Make sure you have at least 3/4 charge of battery power left.

  • Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card or to your PC first.
  • Now Switch-off your phone.
  • Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to swtich on the phone.

Note: Remember, do not let go the 3 press and hold keys until you see a formatting word screen show!

  • After a few minutes when formatting completed, your phone will be restored to original system and factory settting.

To check IMEI Number (International Mobile Equipment Identity)

To check Nokia cellphone on software version, software release date, and compression type.

To check GSM network provider lock status.

Activate and deactivate EFRC (Enhanced Full Rate Codec) on your Nokia cellphone for the best sound quality, but will in turn reduce talk-time by approximately 5%!

When tested with Nokia 5210, the cellphone restarted, and no significant change has been noted.

Activate and deactivate HRC (Half Rate Codec) on your Nokia cellphone, to use a lower sound quality, but increase the Nokia cellphone talk-time about 30%!
